What is cubic zirconia?

Cubic zirconia is a diamond simulant made from zirconium dioxide. It looks and sparkles just like the real deal, giving our travel rings a diamond-like shine without the high price tag. Similarly to diamonds, it can be cut in a dazzling variety of shapes, from pear to cushion and beyond.

What is a crushed ice cutting?

Crushed ice is a cutting style used for both real diamonds and cubic zirconia. This style produces lots of tiny facets on our cubic zirconia stones, each of which reflects light even in the dimmest settings. The result is a glittering stone that sparkles endlessly – just like a real diamond.

What’s the difference between gold-plated and rhodium-plated?

All of our travel rings are set in 925 sterling, and you have a choice between 14k gold-plated and rhodium platinum-plated. Both options are durable and produce an eye-catching sheen that perfectly compliments the 5A cubic zirconia stones. Whether you opt for gold-plated or rhodium-plated depends entirely on your style and the look you’re after.

What is Gold Vermeil?

Gold Vermeil is made with a 925 Sterling silver base with a generous 2.5-micron-thick gold plating (compared to the standard 0.5-micron plating), these pieces are built for everyday wear, ensuring a timeless aesthetic.

Is it durable?

Our travel rings are the perfect thing to wear occasionally in place of your real engagement ring. While cubic zirconia is stronger than many natural gemstones, it’s not as tough as diamonds, so we recommend avoiding daily wear.

Of course! Many people have switched to diamond simulants for a more conflict-free, affordable option that looks equally – or even more sparkly – than mined diamonds. That being said, always make sure to understand what your partner wants.

Although we use the highest quality materials for all of our designs, fashion jewellery can experience normal wear and tear over time. 925 sterling silver is an alloy made of 92.5% sterling silver and 7.5% copper. The copper is added for durability, but it might oxidise. If this happens to your ring, don’t worry! Just wipe it down with a soft cloth to remove any tarnish and restore its shine.

Will my travel ring turn my finger green?

No. 925 sterling silver that is plated in 14K gold or rhodium will not turn your fingers green.

How do I take care of my travel ring?

Great question. First and foremost, we recommend giving your travel ring a break every now and then. When you’re not off on an adventure, store it in your OBJKTS Jewelry dust bag (included in every purchase) and wipe it with a soft cloth to buff and restore shine. Remove your fake engagement ring when bathing, showering, or washing your hands, and do not apply any hand creams or beauty products when wearing your travel ring. We also recommend removing your engagement ring replica when exercising, as sweat can cause oxidisation. Lastly, as much as you’ll love your ring, we don’t recommend sleeping in your jewellery.

How do I know my ring size?

If you’re not sure what your ring size is, we offer a handy little printable ring size guide. You can either use a ring you already have to double-check the sizing or follow the instructions to cut out and use our ring sizer. Always measure your ring size when your hands are warm, as cold hands are slimmer and will not give you an accurate measurement.

What if I don’t like my ring?
